They certainly could NOT issues financial statements without recording their liabilities. Which is what we're talking about here.

How you raise the money to pay a debt down the road in no way changes the fact that you owe the money today.

Selling more shares means each individual share is worth less.

Right and printing money means the currency you print is worth less, also.

This is all beside the point bullshit. We know with a reasonable degree of certainty how much money is required to pay off future retirees drawing SS. That money is not recorded on the financial statements of the US, but it is, nevertheless, money the country owes and a debt that will have to be faced in a reasonably near term.

I know bentway and this other fellow are this dense; they're both idiots. I don't believe you are; you don't know much about this subject but you are THAT ignorant. You're just being obstinate, as you are fond of doing.
