BB,

<< Remember the main law of investing, buy low - sell high!! >>

Is that still the law? It might have been written before income taxes went into effect. I usually try to buy low, and then borrow against high equity, enabling me to deduct the interest payments from my taxes. Not as elegant an adage, but maybe more attuned to the times.

At the begining of modern chess (Paul Morphy), the strong player occupied the center and threatened the opponent. In the twenties, they sought to control the center and threatened to threaten the opponent. When I was a kid you threatened to control (not occupy) the center and either parried a threatened threat, or just threatened to parry it. I can't play the game any more 'cause I just can't figure out what the hell these young people are doing!

(this diatribe only threatens to be tangentially related to the topic)
Do you know the C language? Is C++ worse?
