If you've been to the grocery store and actually purchased basic goods lately, you'd see the price drops.

Here are some prices I'm finding:

Canola oil $2.50 for 48-oz.
Milk $1.79-$1.99/gallon
Butter $1.49/lb.
Sugar: $1.99 5-lb.
Flour: $1.99 5-Lb.
New York Strip Steak: $2.39-$2.59/lb.
Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast: $1.66/lb.
Boneless Pork Loin: $1.49/lb.-$1.69/lb.
Bacon: $10.99/10-lbs.

Most of these are down at least 20-50% from 9-months ago.

These are sale prices, but if people want to be dopes and pay full retail, be my guest.
