I know I'm not breaking even but I have zero patience for dealing with the paperwork so I just over-insure and let the system deal with it without my participation. My way is expensive but freedom from hassle is valuable to me. I don't recommend Part B for people like me.

Part B premiums are pretty straight-forward. The only thing tricky about it is that they don't use your adjusted gross for means testing but what they call "modified adjusted gross," which will be higher if you have any tax shelters.
