Everybody is greedy. It's call "pursuit of happiness." Which all people do. All the time, in everything. You ask, "what about the monk living in a cave, eating berries?" He would rather do that than anything else. "How about the mother rescuing her child at the expense of her own life?" Again, she is pursuing her own happiness.

When you don't admit this, you are falling into the Leftist trap that says it's moral to sacrifice the individual for the good of the group. That the highest form of morality is altruism. Self sacrifice.
