I don't know if he thinks he is covering his ass with this:

"He said multiple intelligence estimates had warned that al Qaeda was actively planning attacks on the United States from safe havens in the mountainous border regions of Pakistan."

But if we're attacked again it is on Obama. If he doesn't want that responsibility he damned well had better move back to the solid war footing that Bush left us on.

If we are attacked again there will be calls for Obama's impeachment. And there should be. His abandonment of the protections Bush put in place are criminal, or they ought to be.
