Iraq is won as much as anyone could win there under the circumstances. Iraq was a killing field with jihadi terrorists but once out iraq goes back to old sunni-shiaa-kurd divisions. Hopefully they can work it out but its not for us to work out any longer.
Afganistan is a timeless quagmire. I think we need to enlist russian help there. I dont think we can win with nato alone and pacific allies like the we dont fight at night germans. Russians may have lost in afganistan but as was seen in GA they are brutes. Al quaeda is the common enemy of US, Russia, Iran, Pak and afg govt, Israel etc. The list goes on and on. Maybe we need a little help from all of them to knock them out once and for all. However the quagmire of afganistan waits if not successful. Thats why i want russian help. I am tired of americans doing most of the dying and killing.
PS from what i understand canucks and dutch doing heavy lifting in afganistan also.
