what if gore was president and afganistan was pacified post 9/11 and he went into iraq with 500k troops and a true coalition and secured the country from the chaos and terror that followed under bush.. I dont know. I think we can agree bush execution was non-existant thus phyrric victory you allude to but did it have to be that way???? We will never know for sure. Only INODE knows the real answer.
