That might be true, but we've clearly overshot to the financed speculation side of the spectrum. This whole financial meltdown is about way too much speculation and way too many assets back by nothing as far as real tangible to give them an actual value beyond some contrived price set when they were created. Everything in moderation.

I knew something was amiss a couple of years ago when the CNBC talking heads started talking jibberish about assets that made no sense and had no real value that anyone could explain. Trillions of dollars of "assets" were created in the past decade backed by essentially nothing.
