example of greed... you need an antidote for some malady that you and other people have. there isn't enough for everyone. but you take the antidote anyway. you have committed violence on the others who need the antidote too. your act was greedy.


Food is a much more basic need than an antidote. You need food, clearly not everyone gets enough food in the world, so is your obtaining food by whatever legal means a greedy act?

or getting or keeping it with violence".. violence being physical or non-physical.



If you come into my house uninvited to take something from me, I will use violence to protect my home and my person. According to your definition, I'm being greedy not sharing my house and my belongings with you and using violence to protect my property. Surely I don't "need" everything in my house to survive. Anyone growing up in a third world country would question what it was I did to deserve all the stuff I have.
