Don't forget Earth Hour- do it mostly because it pisses off the far right so much. It's fun (light some candles); it saves you a tiny bit of money; but mostly folks on the right seem to be spinning in their panties on this one- so do it for them :-)

They NEED something stupid and inconsequential to really focus on- give 'em what they need.

We'll be singing Kumbaya by candle light and roasting tofu dogs over a "green" fire ring (I made that up).

Actually I suggest rounding up your significant other, lighting some candles, and having a romantic evening- or at least hour.

She's right about one thing - earth hour is stupid and inconsequential. But all the better liberal ideas are. The really bad liberal ideas are actually harmful to human well being.
