"I've always thought the DMV was pretty efficient, here in Utah, in CA and in Texas."

My experience has been mainly FLA and TX. Even in Florida, where, because being a state representative is a full time job, tends to have a whole hat full of pointless regulations, I didn't think they were all that bad.

I was wondering why Steve kept bringing the DMV up. Since i-node chipped in, I guess it is something Rush talks about or the wingnut sites rants about. Or, as you note, it might be an Akanistan thing. But they seem to be pretty convinced it is a national phenomenon.
