The MSU vs. MD game was early in the season. I didn’t see it so I can’t comment on that. MD is not a great three-point shooting team, they’re not even a good three-point shooting team and they are small so rebounding is a problem. MD used a 2-3 zone for the NC win. They packed the paint eliminating drives to the basket and keeping NC from utilizing the inside game. They forced NC to shot the three. They tried this with Memphis and Memphis blew then out shooting 75% in the first half. On offense MD plays the flex. They were patient on offense, a lot of movement. Lots of easy close in shots in the paint on cuts and guards driving to the basket.
