It is early days -- but then we are seeing trillions of dollars already in play -- ten trillion here, ten trillion there -- and pretty soon you are talking real money. This is not a matter of who we 'like' or don't 'like'. The dollar is vulnerable to a crash. Try being President of the United States when a new hundred dollar bill is issued with a banana on it -- a hundred dollar bill that will buy you two days of groceries or a tank of gas. Wrecking the economy is not a 'golly gee I crashed the economy, guess I should do something different now' kind of proposition. Obama is in the honeymoon period -- what do you think he will be able to do if he steers the economy over a cliff? Already we are seeing warning shots from our real bankers -- the ones who actually have money. They may speak halting English, but their message is clear -- stop writing checks you can't cash.
