Your suspicions and concerns about bailing out the financial community are shared. It's not clear that he's being advised properly. The difference is that you've concluded suspicions are facts, and I have not.

If we knew all of the information surrounding this extraordinary step, we could say he's wrong. We could say (for instance) that he and other politicians have been captured by Wall Street advisers, just like his predecessor.

Possible. But we don't know that for sure.

There are too many variables. Someone who's speaking from the standpoint of the Austrian school of economics would say "Let 'em fail." A fiat money interventionist might say otherwise.

You want to judge now. I want to wait. On the matter of bailing out the financial community: maybe it's a mistake, maybe it's not.
