I was especially impressed with the line: His father was a Communist; his mother was a Communist. What did you expect? a Centrist? a Humanist? He is very consistent if you don't listen to what he says (except when he slips up), but pay attention to what he does." His past is sketchy at best and the only people of influence in his life are/were very radical individuals. One can say his grandmother was "normal", but there isn't much to go on. His Grandfather on his mothers side has a questionable past. The greater problem being is that the press refused to vet him. No great effort was made with the exception of an effort to purify him.
