You gotta be kidding.

Reagan, in the most important speech of the last 60 years or so, actually refused his speechwriters' advice in keeping the "Tear down this wall" language in the speech.

Probably the most often-replayed moment in all of American presidential debate history is when Reagan WON the election by destroying Mondale's entire argument (that Reagan was too old). Totally on the the fly.

Hell, even as the spokesman for General Electric in the late 50s, early 60s, he traveled the country giving unrehearsed presentations -- and even though GE was footing the bill, politics was the core of his talks. No teleprompters. Just doing it.

They didn't call him "The Great Communicator" for nothing. And while he could use a 'prompter when he wanted to, the man had speaking skills that are unmatched in modern history.

I am utterly amazed at some of your remarks and the lack of any factual basis for them.
