Sparky...
I think that Vector Vest is an analysis service that is untouched by human minds.. As such it is interesting to try to evaluate the thinking and math expressions that are used by it.. It does catch my interest.....(Stock value is based on forward estimates (nxt year))
I use a spreadsheet which evaluates on the basis of probable P/E versus expected earnings. This is useful to establish fair values and current discount. Vector Apparently has tried to take some variables like beta to manipulate risk evaluations. Their recent sell item is undoubtably based on risk coupled with downward trend. It is probable that the moving averages are set tight, causing hair triggering.

The point about MSON that I have been grumbling about is the sales by insiders. Apparently, insiders got a deal on stock, which caused a selling inventory. It is unusual to be hit with this kind of selling before a stock split. We got hit with sales at seemingly any price. The 10k/Q mentions $1.10 /share acquisition. I suspect that the inventory is mostly used up now, and we are waiting for next qtr announcement.

The fact that insider trading has been all SELL has the effect of reducing confidence. I am remaining long because the fundamentals remain good, but having watched BARR as well, I am much more wary.
