You've closed the night with a couple of the best posts I've read here in a while.

I totally agree that management is responsible, ultimately, for the mess at the Big 3 -- but it has a lot to do with managements from years gone by -- decades ago, when current management were mere rookies.

If one looks back far enough, he'll see a time when management, rather than standing up to the unions, did what managements do -- go for the short-term profitability rather than fulfilling their fiduciary responsibilities to shareholders.

Not all of them, but some unions today are sheer evil. This card-check nonsense is nothing more than evil intimidation of the highest order. That so-called liberals can stand idly by and support this evil is shocking to me.

These extortion devices have outlived their usefulness and the amount of power they hold makes them insurmountable, even for a strong politician like Reagan. Obama is an absolute puppet in this situation.
