I went from 7/8 to 1 1/4 on the option and it didn't execute. Can't you get burned on a market order. I used to use market orders until I got burned on SSET when 15 seconds before the open the stock skyrocketed from 8 to 9 1/2 when I was expecting to purchase the stock at 8. Granted I knew I had an arbitrage opportunity but the MM didn't mark up the stock before the open which tends to be commonplace. I figured I was able to capitalize on the situation- NOT!! I lost a huge sum on that trade and now always use a limit order with a specific price.
