Yes, there's quite an entertainment industry. Not all of it is to your taste obviously. You are stretching to suggest that Paris Hilton's act, and reality tv, even with porn thrown in, defines culture for more than a tiny microscopic number of people. They don't impinge on my life. People can choose their culture in a civilized realm. Out of curiosity to see all the noise was about, I watched an interview of Paris Hilton once about some clothing, shoes and stuff business she was running. She seemed perfectly sensible and intelligent. Hardly a cultural catastrophe. I have even watched some "Survivor" tv where they have competing "tribes" with tribal meetings where people get voted off. It looks as though they have a lot of fun and are certainly on the lean side of obese so it doesn't seem all bad. Maybe you are getting into the cultural cringe self-abnegation game. I'll take free culture complete with cyberporn, Paris, reality tv and you can throw in Jerry Springer, and other tv characters too if you use tv as a definition of culture. I'm a culture-free zone these days with hours in front of the box near zero. The point is that Free World culture is vastly superior to TJ's imprisoned hordes of copy-cat low-paid cloned state serfs where stepping out of line gets gaol [at best]. Islamic Jihad culture is another option I prefer not to suffer. I admit that "Free World" is a vast exaggeration and merely the best of a very bad bunch and "best" is only in some respects, more or less, for the most part. Mqurice
