A question for @Home users:
I would love to have the service but Jones Intercable doesn't offer it. Tell me, how fast is it really? I'm at 33k and yes, it is frustratingly slow BUT most of this slowness does not seem to be due to the modem. Most of the time my modem is inactive, waiting for info from net servers. How does a cable modem help that? You don't get more bandwidth from SI servers for example do you?
