OK, if you are going to be a stickler then anybody can check any box they want. Anybody can steal, commit murder, rape, and lie. I tell people not to do those things. I tell people not to commit fraud when checking boxes on forms too. If this is not universal, or nearly universally applied then our Affirmative Action laws are pointless. How stupid is that?

The documentation is out there, which qualifies the term 'African American'. It is also known by every educated child. Anyone else checking the box is committing a fraud. No link is required to know how the question of box checking is to be answered.
