What gov't doing is to prevent the collapse of world financials since USA is the "core" of world financials with trillions for bailouts. Also they want to say USA is still the leader in financials. So far there's backlash on US financials. I doubt foreign money will still pour into our markets like before. They've got burned good on this one.
