dont minimize the feeling good aspect when dodging a depression. Comes in handy. Of course if policy fails the hangover can be bad. Repubs are viewed as folks rooting for disaster to derail obama machine. Unless and until they can get beyond those kind of politics, they will be the third party of american politics following obama/dems and obama/indys. See who the repubs for obama will be when he runs against palin in 012 if it gets that bad for repubs.
