It's already starting.

I just picked up a free computer magazine called "Computer Currents" and on page 12 is a full page advertisement for the idt WINCHIP. It shows a baby reaching up and touching a large idt WINCHIP with "Birth of a Windows Microporcessor" written above the chip.

In a nut shell, here is what the ad says:

"....Which would you rather have- a general purpose microprocessor that runs WIndows? Or a Windows Micropressor?

What's the difference? The WinChip C6 by Integrated Device Technology(bold and ital. my emphasis), was born and bred with a pure-and-simple RISC architecture optimized specifically for Windows desktop and mobile applications

Instead of flabby, wasted logic, IDT WInChip C6 is bulging with muscular Level One cache to accelerate the most often-used instructions...."

The ad will probably be seen in the PC mags next month.

I was so excited to see the ad I almost peed in my pants!!!
