Consolidation. Deconstruction of the OECD industrial base. How many carmakers airlines, banks will be left as the OECD returns to its natural size?

Oil compaies have merged brutally. Asea has long merged with Brown Bovery. Now comes a new wave.

Telecoms is on going as Nortel is being carved up. Motorola soon will go and Nokia-Siemens may not survive much longer. No longer than 5 years max.

The OECD with its older populations, priced outside the market and with shrinking markets will further see its large companies merge for survival or be gobbled by the Chinese.

Volvo, SAAB, Opel, Jaguar all will disappear.

FIAT is saying only two European carmarkers will survive, perhaps VW/Porsche duo and another duo Mercedes/BMW,

KLm/AirFrance is already done. Alitalia is bankrupt. Next BAA wants to merge with Iberia...
