It is not different from the preponderance of blacks who did the same thing -- except they voted more for the color of the skin rather than the guiding principles. I cannot tell you how much respect I have for those blacks who didn't take the easy, racist way out and actually voted for the candidate who espoused those principles which would serve to elevate the positions of blacks instead of to draw them into another welfare state. I know Powell is still supportive of Obama but one wonders whether a day will come when he recognizes that he put his race before his commitment to the nation.
