Hawk, one thing I've learned about systems is that often once an outside impact has occurred, that impact can be self-reinforcing through feedback mechanisms.

Do you think this is the first time this planet has had dramatic climate change? My god man.. there was an Ice Age with glaciers covering a good part of N. America and Europe just 40,000 years ago..

Yet, somehow the planet managed to "self-correct" and achieve temporary "equilibrium" that we PERCEIVE now. But the reality is that your time reference is so limited that what you perceive as the "norm" is merely a convenient and pleasant intersection of climatic change between warming and cooling trends.

That's the paleo-climatic record my friend. And mother nature is more powerful than any of your GW schemes.
