Ted, > ATVI is the creator of World of Warcraft. Blizzard is the actual developer of WoW and was owned by Vivendi. Later Activision was acquired by Vivendi. Activision and Blizzard was merged into, er, "Activision Blizzard." They're trying to take on the big 800 lb. gorilla in video games, Electronic Arts. My problem with EA is that they are the masters of "shovelware." Quantity over quality. The big thing I'm worried about with Activision Blizzard is that they might force Blizzard into the same mentality. One thing about Blizzard is that they always take their time releasing good games, but that does not fit well into deadlines that are often arbitrarily set by the higher-ups. So far I haven't seen that affect Blizzard, which is based in Irvine. The franchise remains strong, especially in this recession (some of my fellow WoW players are currently unemployed or "underemployed"), so it's definitely worth checking out. Tenchusatsu
