What? We've been talking about it for years! It unfortunately only crops up around times where something goes wrong with infrastructure (Katrina, the Minnesota bridge collapse), but I constantly talk with other people about trains.

>Really, what aren't we spending enough on? High-speed rail? OK, let's build some. Solar and wind generators? OK, let's build some. Fixing bridges and filling potholes?

All of the above. And doing those things en masse will create jobs and also improve the country.
