It's not a question of more money, since the budget considerations for infrastructure had little to do with that of wars and tax cuts. In other words, even without the latter, the former wouldn't have been affected.

It's a question of what the heck our current spending is getting us right now. Since the growth in the federal budget has more often than not outpaced inflation, one would think that we're actually getting more out of our government, but we're not.
