A "Q" I "A'd" A lot of Doctors would not bother with this low a score. But it's deadly at his age if he doesn't get it under control. His med history was listed on a TYP program. Wish I could do the same here.

I went for my first heart scan this morning and received the preliminary results:

Region Cal Score Volume
Left Main 0 0
RCA 0 0
LAD 19 21
Circumflex 18 27
Posterior
Descending Artery 0 0
Total 37 48

I realize with my age (43) that this score puts me between the 75th percentile and 90th percentile. I have been fully engaged in all aspects of the TYP program (diet, exercise, supplements, medication). How soon should I go back for a subsequent scan?

Thanks.

I suspect most here will say, "yearly." You are soooo lucky to have caught this at this low level at so early an age. Your 1 TSH is right on line. supplementing your D-3 will get it over 60 in no time. Your BP will drop with a weight drop. And that is the key for you.

WEIGHT, WEIGHT WEIGHT!!!

At 5'9' and 185 pounds, your 27.3 BMI has to change. I would shoot for at least a 24 BMI, a drop of 23 pounds to 162. Check your body fat when you get there, and see if you would look and feel better at even a lower weight.

You are an excellent candidate to get your score to zero. And even if you don't, following the TYP program here means you will "live long and prosper!"
