I've been embracing my fear a little more here. Maybe it's like the first circled bounce in 1973, or else - the bear nightmare - that we're repeating 1975's V-bottom - a 50% rise over six months with nary a substantial pullback.



Maybe we're on one of the various bounces in the 1930-2 bear - or perhaps the launch out of 1932:



While I struggle to believe that the pent-up forces are anywhere near as strong as the 1932 bottom, I could see them approaching the plate tectonics at work around the 1974 low.

However, at a proposed bear market duration of 17 months, we would still be shorter than either the 1973-4 affair or the 1930s bear, a concept I have serious problems with.
