Sure, assuming we know where it's going. Gold is a relatively
small market, and shift in investor perception can push it through
the roof. For example, gld cap is 31.5 bln., which is less
than quite a few individual stocks. Such shifts tend to
happen at unexpected times in bull markets. Roughly 100 billion
dollars will buy all annual supply, which is, of course,
tiny compared to all the money sitting in the world markets.
