I found the Motley Fool column to have a lot of influence. Iomega was discovered by Motley Fool and I think the stock mainly took off thanks to that coverage. The MF is like a forum for small investors and they can be as influential as the analysts. Since the story on Iomega is over, and the story on Sandisk has just begun, and Sandisk's story is very similar to Iomega's, we may want to conduct a campaign to bring to the attention of the MF folks this company and stock.
Earlier this year, me and a few other stock holders of MRVC had done a similar campaign for the MRVC stock. At first, the MFs were very skeptical about the company, but they got convinced later and the stock was covered on the MF a couple of times. I switch to a different Internet provider now and loose my access to AOL. There is a MF message board on the Internet, I checked that site but found very few messages. I think the MF message board that is only accessible through AOL, is more active. |
