NEIK.OB....Defense Dept just announced that they are DOUBLING the number of Joint Strike Fighters in the program...biggest aircraft contract in history of man. That is why Lockheed's stock is up 5.00 per sh. Guess who else is in that program? We already know Lockheed likes NEIK--keeps throwing multi million dollar contracts at them---BUT---NEIK is also approved in that JSF program.....this is from the site--will check on status as it's been there a while--but Gates just turned this program into a Trillion dollar project. So in addition to a forecast from the company that '09 rev will be 4x '08 rev with $1m-$1.5m profit you also have the following ref NEIK's approval for the fiber optic cables in the JSF program...NEIK trades at the ridiculous price of .06: ------------------------ From site
Many of Northstar’s products and services are combined into the production of larger, integrated systems. Our model allows us to act as the design contractor, subcontracting out much of the smaller component builds, and then do the overall assembly, system integration, test and acceptance in house.
Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program
JSF is a US$200 billion program to build the latest-generation fighter for the US, the UK and other nations. Nine nations are partnering in the development of the F-35: the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, Denmark, Norway and Australia. Partnership entitles the aerospace industries of these countries to participate in the aircraft’s development and to bid for work on a best value basis.
Canada signed up for the program on February 7th, 2002. To date, Canadian companies have been very successful in having their leading-edge and affordable solutions chosen for JSF. There have been 166 JSF contracts awarded to 65 Canadian Companies (including 5 Universities). To date the total value of the JSF contracts awarded to Canadian industry is in excess of $158 million USD.
Lockheed Martin is the F-35’s prime contractor, while Northrop Grumman and BAE Systems are principal partners in the project. One variant of the F-35’s engine is being developed by Pratt & Whitney, and another by a team comprised of General Electric and Rolls-Royce. The Program is currently in the 10-year “System Development and Demonstration Phase” with attention now being centered on building supply chain relationships that will carry the Program into “Production & Sustainment Phase”. Northstar’s has had their Single Mode & Dual Mode Fiber Optic Cables approved by one of the major JSF Contractors for use on the JSF. We have been told that we will part of any future bids for these products. Northstar has also signed a Memorandum of Interest (MOI) with Lockheed Martin and other Tier 1 Contractors in anticipation of significant contracts for production of components of the $200B+ USD JSF Program. |
