I think that part of the problem is that most people really have little sense of history, the lessons that are there to be learned.

Not meant as a crack against 'people', but the problem is that most folks only have a sense of what has happened *within their own lifetimes*. THAT is what seems 'real' to them, not what has gone before.

So, there is little 'learning' about these matters with the general public. 9they literally cannot conceive of a different role for central banks to play.)

Ron Paul has gotten some of these concepts across better then most anyone I've ever seen in public life... and, even there he has only just barely scratched the awareness of the public.
