Frank, yes we are enjoying our visit in Seattle. We get to see the kids and grandchildren and take off on weekends to see the sights.

We have made quite a few trips into the mountains. Wash, is not short of them or waterways.
Yesterday we took the ferry to Bainbridge Island. First stop Bainbridge Winery for wine tasting. This winery sells directly to the consumer and not through stores. We picked up several bottles and then drove on to Port Townsend. This is a quaint little town with a Coastguard and Naval station. It is one of only 3 Victorian ports listed on the National Registry. Washington's second oldest city began as a farming, logging and seafaring town. By the mid-1800s, this small settlement became a thriving international seaport, with a reputation as notorious as San Francisco's Barbary Coast Bolstered by the promise of a new railroad link with the Columbian River, Port Townsend businesses flourished, property valuues skyrocketed and the population doubled. But then in the early 1890s, the railroad chose Seattle instead of Port Townsend as its terminus and the country entered into a period of financial depression. The dream had ended.
Over the decades that followed, Port Townsend maintained its economic stability in a variety of ways, including the developement of artillery fortifications at Fort Worden. The buildings and homes of the city's first boom, remain intact. The downtown waterfront is now a historical site and Fort Worden is a State Park. The City is now intl. famous as builder of wooden sailing vessels and state-of-the-art Motor Yachts. A lot of the Victorian homes have been converted to bed & breakfast inns. Most of this history has been provided by a pamphlet. gg.

. The Ferry rides were great. The Ferry had a Starbuck coffee shop on board. On the way back we stopped at a great country inn for delicious food.

Today we went to Tacoma and McChord. Next weekend we will visit with friends overnight and the following weekend we will head to Vancouver for a long weekend.

OK, you got the whole shebang and after a nice weekend I hope Monday will turn out great in the stock market. Here is a great article about PCs:
