Kunstler has been at the engine of the peak oil train since it really began leaving the station. He has been honest to a few interviewers and has let slip that he believes a collapse scenario like Diamond's may be the direction we head.

He has called the abandoning of suburbs for inner cities leaving a nightmare mad max world of squatters and drug dealers behind to pick the carcass for years and years.

Great at a party? Nowadays his invitation list is very long. Five years ago it was very short.

Not that hard to see ten or twenty years ago. I remember in the 80's discussing the inevitable unwinding of boomers at maturity.

Here we are. Unwinding..........
