This from John Hinderaker and his Powerline hatred site...

"This is untrue. A minority of states did "make it hard" for someone who "looks like Obama" to vote until "not long ago," but most did not, and the federal government certainly did not. There has never been a time when it was hard for people who look like Obama to vote here in Minnesota, for example."

Hinderaker presents himself as a lawyer, but doesn't even know the history of his state's constitution, because if he did, he would know that for the first TEN years that Minnesota was apart of the United States, African-Americans were not allowed to vote in the state. And when the Constitution was amended, they only allowed African-American MALES to vote.
