My biggest worry about Obama is that he is a beginner trying to hard to get everybody liking him and in the process he could be taken advantage of by some seasoned pros. He is addicted to his own popularity and that worries me.

Since he began campaigning, people have underestimated him. The truth is most presidents want to be liked......its partly why they are in public office. However, what many seem to forget is when it was politically expedient to support the war in Iraq, Obama came out against it. When partisanship had becomes the name of the game in DC, he has pushed the hugely unpopular bi partisanship. Obama doesn't have a problem swimming upstream because he's been doing it all his life. Try being black with a white mother and grandparents, and you'll understand what I mean.

Selling out America is popular but that isn't what he was hired to do.

Okay....now you've crossed over into winger fantasy. Let me know when you're back.

He has an opportunity to mend some relationships, build some new one's and guide America to a position of prosperity. Prosperity is built on productivity but to be popular he is more likely to give to whiners from government coffers than to encourage growth and development which requires the people to toughen up.

I am not worried. I believe he will prove to be one of our great presidents.
