I've never said they "should".

I've said that's reality. While the concepts of finance are clearly far over your head I'll try one last time.

Drug manufacturers have to be able to produce a certain return on investment in order to support capital formation. Some countries can pay it, others can't. That's the nature of a global economy.

Were we to pass legislation (such as Medicare negotiating directly with drug companies, providing for VA-like pricing) that materially decreases the revenue from drug sales, one of two things must happen:

a) Drug manufacturers cannot afford to take on the risk of creating new drugs that may not pan out (i.e., reduced quality of care in the US as has been done in the countries where socialized medicine has been adopted), or

b) Prices must increase in other countries and/or sectors of American market (i.e., private sector insurance).

I don't know how to make it simpler. If you want to argue about it fine, but your argument needs to take a form other than "bullshit". If that's the only argument you have then you have, once again (sigh) lost.

This is getting pretty boring to me. I've been over this same subject with you a half dozen times and you don't get it. I am led to believe you'll NEVER get it, because you don't WANT to get it. It doesn't fit nicely into your socialist philosophy, so you choose to ignore the facts.
