Welcome to the board, CJay: here's your first homework assignment ;)

Read the following article and send the authors a note requesting a clarification to this outrageous and unspeakable fabrication.

What fabrication you ask? Well, how 'bout the misinformation regarding Creative? As you know, or should know, Creative's PCDVD Encore, their second generation drive, has been available at least from the beginning of October. Furthermore, I just flipped through our Sunday insert from COMP USA to find that the Creative PCDVD is the ONLY DVD-Drive advertised. So, what kind of reporting is that? It seems to me that these writers just regurgitated some old DVD News

DVD-ROM reviews, PC MAG 11/18/97.................................

For this story we tested DVD-ROM upgrade kits aimed at aftermarket buyers. Each kit
had to include the drive, the MPEG-2 video decoder board needed for video playback, and
all the necessary cables and instructions. Six kits--from Diamond Multimedia, Dynatek,
HiVal, Pacific Digital, techmedia, and Utobia--were ready in time. Several more kits are
being readied for the holiday season, chief among them offerings from Creative Labs,
Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony, and STB
