That does not follow at all... (nor does it even make any sense.)

For every single government that has permitted gay marriages it has been with respect to CIVIL ceremonies only.

NONE anywhere has even professed any interest (or authority) at all with respect to RELIGIOUS ceremonies... which all remain totally UNCHANGED.
