The world's largest MOSQUITO is the Toxorhynchites speciosus with the female of the species reaching a blood-sucking length of 1.5 inches. The Toxorhynchites speciosus can be founds along the coasts of Australia but luckily for Australians these giant mosquitoes prefer to feed on nectar. Do they chew the nectar with their 'teeth' before swallowing?
