I've already said I don't care who calls themselves married. However throwing them a crumb, as you call it, smells of appeasement. The question raised by tejek was, why should marriage be an honored institution, while gays are excluded. This streaming resentment expressed toward heterosexuals especially core family types goes more to the heart of the issue IMO.
