Louvem Mines replaces Rivard with Rivard

2009-04-08 16:52 ET - News Release

Mr. Martin Rivard reports

LOUVEM MINES INC.: NEW APPOINTMENT

Louvem Mines Inc.'s board of directors has appointed Martin Rivard as the company's chairman of the board, and president and chief executive officer to replace Jean-Guy Rivard, who suddenly died on March 28, 2009. Jean-Guy Rivard had held those functions since February, 1994.

The board of directors is in the opinion that Martin Rivard is well positioned for this transition. Since 1996 he has worked for Richmont Mines Inc., the parent company of Louvem, and in October, 2005, he was promoted president and chief executive officer. The appointment of Martin Rivard as chairman of the board, and president and chief executive officer of Louvem is effective as of April 7, 2009, by resolution of the board.>>>>

I would think that LOV and RIC would become one and the same in the not too distant future.
