Indeed. I saw a segment on how copper radiators are made. Very much lead is used. Fermented corn mash is sour and will corrode the lead. Strangely, lead salts make for a nice flavor, I am told. I've sniffed and sipped some mighty strong things - but I shy from some of the heavy metals.
When I was a young buck I came into three pounds of mercury. I wonder what became of it. I would swirl it ina big glass flask. This would raise static. I loved the smell of ozone that came from that flask. Can't remember if the mercury had a smell of its own.
...Uh. What was I saying?
cheers js
