Once gay marriage is legal it will be used to attack church's tax deductions/exemptions (has happened in NJ), involvement in adoptions (has already resulted in the Catholic church not being involved in adoptions in MA), religious schools and who knows what. Thats the real purpose of gay marriage. Its a weapon against religion. And most advocates of gay marriage know this and strongly approve, I believe.
